Starts at 9:15 sharp on Wednesday, July 4th. A barge in the center of the Bay releases it’s payload into the summer. Best viewing is Bayside between Palm and Red Snapper Streets. Every Friday night is the Fourth of July on the Island. With the firework light reflecting off the water, it’s a breathtaking display that will kick off your weekend the right way. Celebrate America’s Independence on Wednesday, July 4th during the 84th annual parade presented by IBC Bank. Beginning at 9 a.m. enjoy watching numerous patriotic floats, marching bands and entertainers make their way down Main Street from McAllen City Hall to Archer Park. After the parade, there will be arts & crafts, interactive games, contests, music, and food concessions in Archer Park. There’s plenty of fun for the entire family!

It’s the highlight of McAllen’s Fourth of July Celebration!
Don’t miss the annual Concert in the Sky Fireworks Extravaganza presented by Holanda/Fruttare on Wednesday, July 4th beginning at approximately 9 p.m. in Municipal Park. Listen to patriotic music on local radio stations while watching the fireworks display and enjoy food concessions and kiddie rides in the park throughout the evening.

Jaycees Annual 4th of July Parade & Family Festival
Join the celebration Independence Day honoring the birthday of our country and the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Wear your red, white & blue & bring the whole family to watch the parade. The Edinburg Chamber of Commerce celebrates Texas Cook’em: High Steaks in Edinburg on July 4th weekend at the Edinburg Municipal Park on 714 Raul Longoria.
Texas Cook’em is the valley’s biggest and only IBCA sanctioned Steak cook off featuring T-Bone steak, chicken, ribs and brisket. Competitors pay only $75 per category or $200 for all categories with over $15,000 in prize money to be awarded to the top winners.
